Rising Run Clubs in the Sierra Foothills Area

May 2, 2025 | Blog | 0 comments

Whether you’re an avid runner or new to the sport, having friends and a community to run with can bring so much added joy to the simple act of running. Runners in the community will tell you that running is mistakenly identified as an “individual sport,” and that their success and motivation is buoyed by the company and support of the community of runners around them.

We’re frequently asked by shop visitors if we know of any good run clubs in the area, so put together a list of some great up-and-comers. Run clubs are a fantastic way to build your running community, and while this list is far from extensive, we think we’ve put together a great list of exciting and growing local clubs, each with their own distinct flavor/style!

We’ve included short bios and links to the clubs’ socials and websites, where available. Leaders of these clubs are available through direct message on their socials, or via email on their websites!

About the American River Run Club: The American River Run Club was founded in summer of 2026 by Jocelyn and her Dad who wanted to kick-start the week off right with a Monday event jog after work. What better than to run with friends? They made it official, offering weekly Monday Meet Ups at 6:00PM at locations with easy accessibility off of the American River Bike Path. Oftentimes, they’re meeting at a location where runners can grab a bite or drink following the run. Stay up to date on Facebook, Instagram, and their Strava Club for run meet up locations! All paces, from walking to running are welcome, and we sure hope you join soon.

Run Distances: 3 Mile and 5 Mile options

And in that spirit, Coffee & Kilometers isn’t simply a running club. It’s a community. It’s a place for sharing. A chance to connect and be your authentic self. Coffee & Kilometers isn’t a run club – it’s a social club that happens to run!

Bonus Club! – F3

About F3: F3 started in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina and has grown to more than 46 states and 3,400+ scheduled workouts each week through the efforts of men whose lives have been changed by their involvement with F3. The three Fs in the name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — the last of which we define as simply a belief in something bigger than yourself.

*Note, while F3 is not technically a “run club” (their official meet ups involve structured HIIT style strength workouts), many of their Rocklin area members are avid runners and running is incorporated into the workouts! It is a great organization for men looking to strengthen their cross-training and build their fitness/running community!
